Kids Lunch Idea's

We all know how important it is to keep kids healthy so I put together a little list to give you ideas for their lunches. Here are some benefits>

  • It helps to improve their concentration, learning and behavior.
  • Promotes proper physical growth and development.
  • Builds up their strength.
  • Promotes resistance to infection.
  • Gives plenty of energy as if thety dont have enough ;).
  • Minimizes future health risks like iron‑deficiency anemia, obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer and dental decay.
  • Helps them to establish healthy eating patterns and habits for life.

First up is my Strawberry oat bars. Oats are slow releasing carbohydrate so will keep your kids full through the day and keep their energy up.

Chicken Kickers Chicken is a great source of protein cut these up and add to some salad.
Banana &Blueberry Muffins I love these so easy to make and tasty adding the O'Egg is a good way to get protein in.

Greek Yogurt with some fresh fruit and dark chocolate chips,Kids yogurts can have a lot of unnecessary added sugar.

Rice cakes with banana and peanut butter.

Egg muffins you can add some chicken, spinach, tomato to these.
Bread I always make my own oat bread and change up the flavor. add some turkey or simple butter and jam.

Lastly Soup I remember when I was a child always bringing a flask of soup to school its so easy to make and great way to get the veggies in.

Nuts like cashews, almonds can also be added to lunches, water is the best drink juices can have lots of sugar.
