Honey & coconut oat bars
Ingredients
Oats (100 grams) or 1 cup
Baking powder(tea spoon)
Coconut desiccated(half a cup)
1 egg
almond milk
vanilla essence
Honey (1 table spoon)
Coconut oil (1 table spoon)
Salt (pinch)
Cinnamon (pinch)
Optional : chopped nuts or dried fruit
Method:
1.Preheat oven and grease baking tray with some coconut oil.
2.Mix dry ingredients together.
3.Melt honey and coconut oil on the hob.
4.Beat egg and add vanilla essence.
5.Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir till combined.
6.Place mix into baking tray press down and form a square,bake for 25-30 minutes on 140 Degrees keep a close eye on it so it doesn't burn.
7.Take out and let cool them cut into bars I had mine with liberte greek yogurt and fresh strawberries.
These bars are perfect to breakfast on the go or a pre workout Oats are a slow releasing carbohydrate so it will keep you feeling full. Also are a great for kids lunches or as a snack with a tea,coffee.
