Fota Island Resort

Hi everyone I'm back with another review for you. I stayed a Fota Island Resort recently and wanted to fill all you in on how I got on. There is a beautiful drive leading up to the hotel with holiday homes to the left outside the hotel is a lovely fountain with some stunning ornaments. Check in's were very formal and swift the lady who checked us in was so welcoming and explained everything we need to know.

Nothing like a red carpet to make you feel like royalty.

Our room was spacious and spotless and the bathroom included bath and walk in shower. There was tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water which is always a nice touch. Our room also had a balcony.

We ate in the bar for lunch and dinner The food was really good the menu offered lots of variety.

Mango Smoothie

Chicken Satay

The Hotel offers a indoor heated swimming pool, before taking some time out the Jacuzzi & sauna.
I loved the green lighting it gave the pool a relaxing atmosphere

I did use the Fitness center which was top notch all up to date equipment I was delighted to see a no phones sign in the fitness center as most of ye know I never bring my phone into the gym as its my time to switch off and it tends to distract me. I rarely take picture of gyms at hotels I stay at as respect for other members using the gym the only time I will take a picture is if I pay and its empty and there is a chance to get a quick snap the gym also offer a range of different classes.

**The Spa**

HYDROTHERAPY SUITE
The spa features a hydrotherapy suite, home to Ireland’s only walking river, which is renowned for its assistance in healing sports and fatigue related injuries. The hydrotherapy pool, with nine different areas has been specifically designed to massage the entire body which is a great was to relieve any tension the suite also included a little relaxation room.

I went for Rise and Shine Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage. This pick-me-up massage is complemented with a luxurious massage oil with lemon notes. The treatment  time was 30 minutes and it flew my therapist Shauna was brilliant I would highly recommend this treatment perfect way to unwind after a long week. After the massage you are brought to the relaxation room a Beautiful bright room were you can relax and your therapist will bring you a sweet treat. The relaxation room offers refreshments and light music with a stunning view of the gardens and some light reading available.
