Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Limerick

Hey everyone last hotel review for awhile as I'm due in the next few weeks. I stayed at The Radisson Blu Sunday night. I have to say it was a great experience from the moment we checked in to checking out the next day. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. We decided to upgrade to a suite as I said will be last night staying in a hotel for awhile. Check out the pictures below

The Room

As I said we upgraded to a suite and it was lovely really spacious and everything you would expect from a suite. Robes and slippers ,nespresso machine lots of teas available and a fridge that can be stocked at your request which had some still and sparkling water chilled for us when we arrived. There was also a Welcome plate and some chocolates and a lovely little note to welcome us.

The bathroom was a little small with a bath shower combo I thought there would have been a walk in shower but had some nice toiletries from this works available.

Food

We went to the bar for food there was a nice selection the pizza was divine and I got a Non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri it was unreal so refreshing.

We ate in the restaurant that evening our waiter David was fantastic We both got steaks they were cooked to perfection and some of the creamiest mash I ever tasted they also make me some pepper sauce which wasn't on the menu to go with it. I am still thinking about the dessert the salted caramel ice cream was one of the nicest ice cream I ever had.

Breakfast again was delicious everything you could want.

  • Cheeseboard selection
  • Dried apricots, prunes, sunflower seeds, toasted almonds, nuts and cranberries
  • Fresh fruit salad
  • Healthy smoothies
  • Natural and flavoured yoghurt
  • Selection of cereals
  • Selection of juices (Orange, grapefruit, apple and cranberry)

I got scrambled eggs and a waffle and it was 10/10 our waitress Kasia was lovely and made sure we had everything we wanted.

Facilities

We used the pool that evening it was lovely and relaxing the ceiling has a beautiful stars lighting effect. Kieran used the sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi. I used the gym the next morning which has everything you need to get a good session free weights, machines and cardio equipment. The staff again were great and showed us the pool before we used it. The also have a Spa and some great treatments available.

I love the little touches like this.

Overall we had a great stay at the Radisson I would definitely recommend it.I always say the staff make an establishment and they certainly do here nothing is to much trouble and service with a smile.

My Nursery

Hey Everyone so today's post is of my nursery. I'm finally finished it I had everything minus the cot with ages I picked up the cot today in Aldi to complete my nursery. I tried to get everything on a budget as baby stuff cost a lot of money there is so much to get so I did a few up cycling jobs. My theme was grey and white I'm obsessed with grey and white I have my own bedroom done in the same colors. My dad painted the room for me and hand painted the beautiful tree on the wall. He done one wall grey and three walls white.

Next up the Cot as I said above I picked it up in Aldi today they flew out the door I also got the mattress in Aldi. It has great storage space underneath for blankets and whatever else you want to put in there. I got the bumper set on sale in Tesco awhile back for €12 I love elephants and stars so it was a perfect match. I have a Moses basket and a sleep next to me crib so the baby wont actually be sleeping in here for a long time but I like to have things organized as most of you know haha.

The Rocking chair was a real bargain they retail for €200 I got mine second hand for €30 now it needed some TLC but it turned out lovely after a coat of paint and some new fabric added to it I got the fabric in Michael Guineys for cheap some double sided tape a scissors and lot of patience along with the help of my Mother Mahony's sewing skills it turned out great. I got a Winnie the pooh throw as a gift for Christmas and I love it. Its so soft and complements the chair well its available in Penneys now.

Next up is the wardrobe I wanted something small that would fit under the shelves I had in the room already so this was another pre-loved purchase I got it for €40 and again We sanded it down gave it a coat of paint and I had the sticky stuff to cover the drawers which I got from Lidl a good while back but I seen they have new types in at the moment.

I bought the heart lights in Penneys. The baby book was a very thoughtful gift I received I think its available from Boots. The owl teddy lights up and plays music I bought that in the last baby sale in Aldi.

Chest of drawers I had with years in my dads house which is actually a set to match the wardrobe so it was perfect for the nursery again We sanded it down painted it and covered the drawers.

The Lamp is from the Range in Little Island and the tea light holder and frame I got in a gift shop In Kilkenny. I got the little wicker baskets in Heatons again it was awhile back.

My mam brought this wall sticker back from America and put it up.

I got the curtains yesterday in Penneys.
Last  I got the Bella Baby star changer with bath for €99. That is it just need the baba to arrive now haha If you have any questions on anything comment below or message me and if you enjoyed this blog give it a thumbs up please. Thanks for reading.
